It is been said that the scientific name of bananas was given by Alexander Von Humboldt who named it "Musa Paradisiaca" or "Heavenly Muse".
I am sorry for not having a good moment to comment on your wonderful pictures, I will return to normal soon.

Can't see any inflorescence but like the picture.
I'd like to grow big bananas here but would cost a fortune to do it.

I'm learning too with this amazing image of the Banana plant.
Very photogenic Marian.
Bananas are the biggest selling item in our supermarkets, I believe.
So Marian at least grab one of these if you don't have time for lunch.
