A marsh designed by landscape architect (Brazilian Roberto Burle Marx) in the 1950s in Caracas.
I suggest you see it "Large" as there is much detail that could be missed otherwise.
and perhaps a night heron?!
An interesting looking bird there. Nice shot.
Beautiful image, excellent composition!
I have no clue about the bird. This area is open to any bird that crosses the city.
The park is really big, you can see it on the map of Caracas that accompanies my pictures.
I am certain I will go back for more action!
This is an excellent image Marian. I like the interesting bird in here I love natural swimming pools with a marsh cleaning the water and not chemicals !!

I had never heard of such swimming pools.
Since the bird has awakened some curiosity I asked a friend from the Venezuelan plains of Barinas, (on the west-south end of the country) to take a look of the duck and this one and see if he can identify them. As soon as I get it I will post it on the info of each picture.
Excellent picture beautiful composition well taken.
Fabulous reflection, Marian.
Nice image Marian, like the comp
Lovely composition here Marian .
Large is lovely. The reflections in the water add to it.
ps, thank you for all the comments on my pics.
Viewing this large is a must.....
The bird is a Heron, opportunist fisherman Marian. Lots of detail in this haven for all !!
Lots of interest in this image Marian, but the eye does go to the Heron - a real beauty.
The water lily also demands we pay attention.
I'm sure you'll find lots around here to photograph.
Wow!Beautiful light/colours and reflections.Really like the curve running through the scene too.
Fantastic reflections, Marian. The snaking 'S' of the dividing wall lead the eye through the image. Gorgeous natural looking pond.
thanks for all the comments on my images

Burle Marx was a genius of landscaping, the park is a crown with embedded gemstones, everywhere.
Lots of interest with a very pleasing curve
Beautifully captured, lovely reflections...your new camera is taking great images
