Thanks so much to all that commented and voted on my mini-series of self-portraits. In particular my heartfelt gratitude to Malc (Saltireblue) for the UA on my Accidental Self-Portrait.
Now back to Parque del Este and the birds and the flowers and the trees...SmileSmile
I will be doing a special on Christmas preparations this Saturday, I am very excited! (Jeez, I can't keep a secret, that's why I don't have secrets!) Grin

Thanks Jocelia! I am glad you liked it, I was afraid it would not be sharp enough as the zoom was all out and it gets very hard to control the shake. Smile
Thanks again!

This is a terrific photo of this white heron, Marian. The composition is lovely, and the heron capture is sharp and framed just right. Wonderful.

My goodness - this is close!
The heron is a lovely white - hard to capture with all the detail.
Perfect against the green background.

Thanks to my Nikon baby! WinkWink I was pretty far from the bird.

Thanks Dave, I was so concerned about focusing that I didn't pay much attention to the b/g. The birds were flying around and moving a lot. It came out pretty well.

Fantastic!!! I know how difficult it can be to get the exposure correct on these snow-white plums. You did a great job here.

Walter thanks so much for the User Award! I am honored, my friend.
I just remembered when Alan said that I should be setting high fs when using the zoom and when Si said something about the focal length and the speed. I think I set the ISO in auto. It was terribly sunny, the kind of sun that makes the sky white and everything has a thin white layer.
Thanks again! I am really glad you noticed the effort!SmileSmile
