Every patch of land suitable for farming is utilised by the locals of this last of the Indian villages at Chitkul near the Indo-Tibet border. The farmers in chitkul mainly grows potatoes which is said to be one of the best in the world and are very costly. Situated at 11,482 feet (3500 meters) in Himachal Pradesh in India, Chitkul experiences heavy snow fall during winter when the inhabitants move to lower regions of Himachal.
