Bird on the Wind by Rachel81

Bird on the Wind

That was my thought - i knew it was a lucky shot really and like you say the wings are cropped but i liked the effect, plus i was on a moving boat at the time so i was quite pleased. Thanks for your comment Smile

African Fish Eagle

Thanks for all your lovely comments. i;ve only been using a digital slr for 12 months so it means a lot.

HarveySquires - your obviously familiar with this beautiful bird but just in case i would highly recommend Botswana - they were everywhere!!

Damselfly by johnalexander

Damselfly

Hi John

Well done on the photo it really caught my eye and having just bought my first macro lense i really can empathise about small things on branches, blades of grass etc in the wind. If it helps to make your feel better i think i managed to knock half my subjects to the ground with my tripod today without even getting a shot.
Anyway aside from the photo i wanted to say how much i enjoyed your narrative - it really made me laugh - please take more wildlife photos and please write some more.

Long Tailed Tit by KBan

Long Tailed Tit

Fantastic photo. My husband and I spent ages today trying to capture on of these on camera in a wood in Warwickshire and failed; they were too fast for us. Well done.
