Interesting to see this... it was only yesterday I was talking with someone about the Cutty Sark. Last time I went there was 40 years ago on a school trip and I don't remember it being raised the way it is now.

During the recent restoration they found that the hull was distorting due to the weight being taken by the keel of the ship. they decided to support it around the water line and had the idea of raising the whole ship.
