First chance this year to gets some sunrise shots over in Norfolk. This is Cromer west beach Friday morning. Taken about 1/4 hour before sunrise I liked the way the first light was breaking through the clouds and the tide helped to create a nice diagonal lead from the pebble to the wave then beyond to the pier.
All exposures set manually. Spot metered off the wet sand, underexposed this by 1/2 stop, 0.9 hard ND grad for the sky, 12mm lens, 3secs at ISO 320 and tripod set low down.
I've uploaded the original for comparison. Adjusted levels, curves, hue/sat and some selective colouring. Sharpened slightly with unsharp mask.
Hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoyed taking Wink
Paul

Looked it bit like a moonscape from the thumbnail. Very fine composition Paul and your manipulations are indeed an improvement on the original.

I shall be uploading some from Cromer soon.

This is excellent Paul! The lead in lines of the receding waves mirrored by the stripes of colour in the sky work really well.

Beautiful shot Paul; great colours, water trails and composition with the rock anchoring the foreground. And love the 90degree sweep and the way we're looking along the beach on the right and directly out to see on the left.

You've captured some good diagonals in the water and the sky. Nice processing Paul, bringing out those lovely colours
