Coreus marginatus, commonly called the Dock Bug, is a species of Squash Bug.
This is a studio shot. My challenge for the day was to mimmick sunshine using continuous lighting without making the insect burst into flames… I custom set the white balance by eye.
I’m thinking that the CGI designers on the movie ‘Starship Troopers’ may have based the main soldier bugs on this type of stink bug?
