The flower lasts about two days and in certain conditions they will literally ooze nectar.
If you’re wondering why I chose B&W? Well, it’s because I have not yet been able to successfully handle the incredibly intense red of this flower in post production. I’ve tried RAW and Jpeg in daylight and flash but have yet to get a colour result that I’m happy with… I am happy with this image, though.![]()

Really quite lovely and actually, strangely works as a lovely mono comp....really good and different take on the usual, boring macro stuff. YOu always seem to find the different angle to make it interesting....
