This is my second bash at a straight portrait. This time shot outside with a mix of daylight and diffused flash... I'm still struggling with hair but I'm reasonably pleased with this result. And no 'soft filter' has been used...

You should be pleased! I love the hair with the composition, it's fantastic and the eye fix is perfect. Good light, great mood....good and different image!

Thanks Anna, your not the first to mention that: It's been likened to the drowning woman from Minority Report... It's the effect of downing the contrast a lot around the face.
