Thank you for c'c on the Purple Roller - much appreciated.
This photo of the old Buffalo Bull was taken in the late afternoon sun near Satara kamp. Initially there were five of these grumpy old men grazing their way to the parimeter fence to spent the night in relative safety ( no point in getting to that age and not use the wisdom to your advantage Grin) then another joined them - he lost 3/4 of his tail at some point and boy was he grumpy - the morning we encoutered him - after seeing the mood he was in, I gave him right of way on the tar road ..... Ina

A great close-up encounter with this massive animal which seems to have such a benign face to my way of thinking, but from what you say, the opposite was the truth.
Superb portrait type shot, Ina.

Absolutely magnificent in every respect, Ina. Love the expression, detail and wonderful textures and tones. The two little "maintenance" birds are the icing on the cake!!!!

Top class capture Ina. He really is the most magnificent beast and I could quite see why you would want to give him ' right of way' on the road. Exposure is right on the button.
Ron

A tremendous shot of this grizzled old warrior, I like the inclusion of the three little birds feeding on the ticks
