Wanted to get the trowel more in focus ...but feel could'nt really manage.. please suggest...Thank you

It looks ok to me, and I like your selective colouring. If you focused on the trowel, the foreground tree would probably be out of focus, but this would have been acceptable. The alternative would be to change your viewpoint so that the tree was not sat directly in front of the trowel, spoiling your plane of focus. A smaller aperture/higher f-stop would have got them both in focus.
