A Saturday Night in Southport

Here's one of my pictures from the Southport Musical Fireworks Championships 2006. This was from the 2nd display on Satuday night. Saturday was much better than Sunday imho.

The fireworks at the bottom left were fired off a big ring hanging from a crane, and were set off around the ring one after another with the colours matching the colours of the fireworks above. It was something I hadn't seen before, and good to see something different. I wasn't sure whether the ring on the crane was part of the display beforehand, but luckily I took up a position to see it, just in case. I like the way the light off the ring lights up the water and people at the bottom of the frame
