The sun had pretty much gone down behind the dunes with this shot.
Studland is a vast expanse of sandy beach with very shallow bathing waters, it is possible to walk quite a long way out before getting out of your depth. In fact, I believe that Monty Python filmed part of their TV series here, the one where the castaway is crawling out of the water up the beach whilst a suited John Cleese does the continuity. May need to check that fact before I repeat it too much!
Anyway, I love this beach and here is another shot of it!
