Trying to get an image of something old for the local club shoot and found this abandoned birds nest on an old trucks steering wheel. Shot a lot of images of it trying to get the nest in context, but I think this is about my best. Would love comments. Thanks.

What an unusual place to a bird to build a nest. I like the shot, the cob/spider web. I bet this would make a pretty good B/W. I can't help but think something is missing, it could be the abandond feeling of the nest....KevBK

I think you have gone a bit too close on this and it is difficult to establish the context. If you hadn't said it was in a steering wheel I wouldn't have guessed.

If you had used a wide angle lens we could get a sense of the truck cab rather than just the nest.

Thanks for the reply guys, I will give it a go in B&W when the time allows. I did try to get a wider veiw but the light at the time burned out the nest and some of the truck floor, I'm going back this weekend in the morning to see if I can improve on it.

Thanks again

Russell
