An interesting concept.
I can see a lot of figures other than the woman....a loon, a swan, a woodsman, a greyhound to name a few, are inhabiting your image.
The simplistic rendering of the figure as blocks of shade has been well done and the placement of the figure in the frame is excellent. It depends on what your image is saying, but I would have been inclined to have the model's gaze on her left knee. This would have taken our eye around in a circle, holding us within the image. Apart from that thought, as always you have produced a very confident and competent piece of work. I will admit that this one is not particularly to my taste, but that's a different and wholly subjective issue.
Thanks for your comments John, I agree about the models gaze, I should have noticed it at the time, so I’m stuck now unless I get another opportunity.
Joline, Thanks for your observations, They jump out at me, now that they have been pointed out, but I didn’t see them before.
A real twist on a classic pose, this works very well.
