we decided to have another trip up black clough this morning as the weather was awful yet again.
Took this as a test shot as there was a lot of mist but it came out okay
all comments as usual are much appreciated

outstanding!!! well done
Great colours and contrast from front to back. Super composition.
Good shot, I don't know but I might have cropped the foreground up to the white water, but then it would have become a different shot, well done.
Spot on Richard, need i say more.
Just trying shots at streams myself.
Lovely colours and depth. Like the detail and movement. Where is Black Clough?
Outstanding composition that's been captured wonderfully Richard.
Nice one! It was worth the visit.
This is a great shot - the mist makes it - if I was allowed to be picky I wouldn't have included that green n shped band in the foreground as I think it draws attention away from the beautiful cascades.Well done,
Excellent comp and love the way its all focused from top to bottom. PAul
A wonderful shot Richard, despite the awful weather. You have still managed to get some great colour in this. And the mist background adds to the mood of the shot.
I keep meaning to get to some of the locations in the darker peak regions. Where did you park for this location, and how long did it take you to walk? if you don't mind me asking.
the mist at the top adds to a already great shot nice shutter speed.i love that you look at the shot in three stages and have to stop at each one and rest.
Superb shot .
Love the atmosphere the mist brings to this.
Great shot in the conditions.
I didn't make it out myself, as it just looked too murky.
well done Richard, love the compostion.
just got back, thanks for the comments everyone.
I must give Keithh and Pete credit for this place but for all those asking, if you head out from Glossop on the A628, you can park up down a small lane just off there and the cloughs are a small walk up the river. We have only found the middle clough, apparantly there is a near and a far black clough aswell.
Fantastic depth and perspective, you have captured lots of colour for such a grey day!
Great directions - I live close to Glossop so will be visiting this spot and hopefully bump into a few others too!
Cheers Richard. Thanks for the info.
I like the low viewpoint. I don't recall this stretch while walking up the Middle Black Clough though ... don't suppose you went up the right one? Near Black Clough?
Edit ignore me I've just looked back through my shots and I have one of this from a different viewpoint and the snow has changed it.
This has to be one of the best Richard, I've found it on the map now just off Woodhead pass on the edge of Bleaklow moor, must go very soon ,
The mists adds a bit of atmosphere. Good shot.
wow, thanks pete
it really is one of the best places I've been to - and we didn't even go right to the top as it was incredibly boggy - I even lost my shoe in the bog at one point!!!
thanks to everyone for the comments - I'm dead chuffed
Cracking shot - love the colourful foreground, contrasting with the misty background. Very atmospheric. Very good indeed.
Superb depth, colours and perspective.
Good work Richard, many congratulations on the HC.
Stunning work Richard, it's got great depth and superb composition
Well done on the HC, well deserved.
Fine shot in a fine portfolio
