we decided to have another trip up black clough this morning as the weather was awful yet again.
Took this as a test shot as there was a lot of mist but it came out okay
all comments as usual are much appreciated

A wonderful shot Richard, despite the awful weather. You have still managed to get some great colour in this. And the mist background adds to the mood of the shot.
I keep meaning to get to some of the locations in the darker peak regions. Where did you park for this location, and how long did it take you to walk? if you don't mind me asking.
Steve!
the mist at the top adds to a already great shot nice shutter speed.i love that you look at the shot in three stages and have to stop at each one and rest.
just got back, thanks for the comments everyone.
I must give Keithh and Pete credit for this place but for all those asking, if you head out from Glossop on the A628, you can park up down a small lane just off there and the cloughs are a small walk up the river. We have only found the middle clough, apparantly there is a near and a far black clough aswell.
I like the low viewpoint. I don't recall this stretch while walking up the Middle Black Clough though ... don't suppose you went up the right one? Near Black Clough?
Edit ignore me I've just looked back through my shots and I have one of this from a different viewpoint and the snow has changed it.
wow, thanks pete
it really is one of the best places I've been to - and we didn't even go right to the top as it was incredibly boggy - I even lost my shoe in the bog at one point!!!
thanks to everyone for the comments - I'm dead chuffed
