An early start from the hostel at Milford Sound resulted in a chilly but beautiful morning on Milford Sound, a place where we had doubts whether we could get to after having a 2 day snow-in at Queenstown. Luckily, it left in just enough time to get to Milford for a sunset/sunrise before motoring on to Wanaka.

Absolutly amazing! I loved Milford Sound but didn't have my SLR back then, the reflection is perfect and hopefully on your travels you'll stop by Lake Matheson and get a better picture than mine. I'm really happy with the one in my PF but wish I had my SLR back then.

This picture looks like one of them Wallpapers you could download from windows, looks like a different planet

Absolutely fantastic, the reflections make it - particularly that of the moon. This is somewhere I'd love to visit, but I'm not sure when I'll manage it Smile

You are definitely right - we would love this place - I wonder if the MrT approach to air travel would work for mrS Wink

Ha ha Fran, I reckon it'll do the trick and be worth it! You thinking of a surprise honeymoon? Wink
Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Clone the moon out and its reflection and it'll make a reasonable picture Richard...... Wink

I've just come back from a three week trip to NZ myself but alas I was there for work on the North Island so didn't get any photo ops. The south Island does look inviting though, hope you didn't photograph that bloody tree at Wanaka, please say you didn't...........

Smile

I can recommend temazepam, it solved my flight stress when we went to Japan and Oz. I used it all up or you could have had some to slip in his milk.

As for the picture Rich, crisp and stunning. Nice to see a proper pointy mountain as well, not that Scottish hill some people like to photograph all the time, er #cough#.
