A photo of a stitchwort taken in my local woods. This is the first time I've done any flower photography and am still learning the ropes so any advice would be great.

Cheers for looking...

An excellent start to flower photography. You have retained detail throughout the main flower head, and included enough of the main plant in the background to add interest and context. Good exposure and soft lighting too, without any harsh shadows.

I went looking for something like this yesterday morning. Was obviously looking in the wrong place!!

Lovely DOF, and colours, cracking first attempt. Seems you don't have a lot to learn!!

Cheers guys,

I'm finding it's more rewarding doing these kind of photos than landscapes at the moment, but I do have a lot to learn (you should of seen the bin folder!)

Good bit of DOF work, considering this was taken with a 70-300 lens Smile
