another from the mini meet which feels like it was months ago now, I thought the square crop seemed to fit this one.

Agree with you about the crop Rich, seems to get rid of the unnecessary info and concentrate the eye on what matters. Love the light on the dry stone wall, picks out the detail perfectly ... this is what I was trying to get with my compositions too.

Have a great weekend,
Paul

cheers guys,

I'd taken this one in landscape but it just didn't work for me and then with a bit of a crop, it improved it no end.

Off on the xmas do in a bit so thanks in advance to anyone who clicks/comments as I doubt I'll be able to see later.

have a good 'un too paul

... know what you mean Rich, we had our works do last night ... went greyhound racing, and drinking copious amounts of 'falling down juice' ... feeling a tad fragile this morning - need a greasy fry-up ;-D

You're right Rich, the square crop does suit this shot very well. Lovely light from what was a very poor start to your day.

Square shots! next thing is you'll be going to square format film cameras!!!LOL

Enjoy your day today, you'll pay for it later though!!

good to see a different viewpoint from the usual. Like that heather in the foreground to soften up the rocks. Interesting that you have a bright area of light over on the right, most shots I've seen from here in anything like decent light all have the same (including mine). I guess there must be some point during the year when it's not quite so bright in that direction.
