A very nice image of it's type. Nothing really to criticise.
Just uploaded a mod!
Thanks Trev, certainly an improvement on the original.
Quote: Milky or otherwise, I just do not know,.
Not milky for me I'm afraid!
It's a good, well taken shot though.
You've handled the exposure well, especially for a slightly long shutter speed which tends to blow out some highlights in the water if you're not careful.
As for the speed and amount of blur or silky-milkiness, as Focusman alludes to, it's really a personal thing, but at this chosen amount of blur you've handled it well.
My only small niggle is that compositionally there's a good lead-in but it leads a long way into the pic then nearly out of it again. A slightly different position might have put the vanishing point of the water more on a third, which I think would work better here Also the area on the right is quite bland which unbalances the shot a bit for me.
I've done a mod which gives the whole thing a boost with an S-shaped curve to increase contrast (did this on a duplicate layer then erased back any areas that became burnt out in the process) then I selectively boosted the saturation in the pebbly water on the right, just to pull out a bit more interest on that side. It's only a quick mod so I might have overdone it but it's just to illustrate
Hope that's some use, nice work
