Many thanks for all your comments on my recent upload.
Also thanks to Martin JP, Barbara Hirst, and Paul Morgan for their UA again very much appreciated.
While in the Olympic stadium on Monday (had tickets for the dress rehersal). I had a chance to get a few images from below this iconic structure, it was closed off so this was the best angle available.
You will either love it or hate it but it is amazing when you are close up.
Thanks for looking
Regards Richard

This angle gives the effect of a Whirling Dervish. It's definitely dancing. It's the first image of the work that I have found engaging - I love most of Kapoor's work but images that I have previously seen of this have seemed sterile.

An amazing piece of work, Richard - it looks like a cross between the Pepsi Max at Blackpool and a helter-skelter! Great viewpoint, and having a deep blue sky helps in making it stand out from the background ![]()

Excellent point of view Richard, sorry but for me I do not like the sculpture, will come in handy for the broke Government to sell for scrap.

The closest I've got is the viewing window from John Lewis in Westfield Shopping centre!! Very strong graphic shapes from your angle of capture, Richard, and excellent colour contrast.

Well taken picture and good to see for those of us unable to cope with the journey
Great shot Richard, and perfect timing with the uploading.

you 'best angle available' would seem to be the most interesting one. Well done for composing a fantstic shot in a probably very hectic environment.
Fascinating structure - looks great against that gorgeous sky ![]()

That is a fabricators nightmare to put that together.
Tom.
An extraordinary bit of sculpture/architecture, Richard, making quite a statement at the Olympic venue: like your chosen viewpoint here showing off so well the complicated structure.
I watched a documentary on TV a week or so back describing it's construction......quite fascinating it was too.
Ronnie.
Like some giant child's toy, and the colour is so good too.

Very nice Richard.
What time were you there? Because I were there too Monday and Tuesday.....smile
