Thanks to everyone for their comments on my last upload, very much appreciated.
Another wet grey day this time on the mainland, stopped of a break and the sky lightened slightly so with a bit of filter wiping and a tripod in the middle of the road and this was the result, captures the feel of the day for me.
Thanks for looking

The strength of composition overcomes the murky conditions. Oodles of atmosphere and a good capture that most would not even have considered.

A82 Glencoe Richard? I have a similar shot from just a bit further along the road....amazing place, and yes, the weather was exactly like this for me too! lol! Cracking mood captured here and love the lines...
Cracking shot...everything abt that place is magic Richard - pleasure to make it 30!
PS Was much like that on my visit end of January...3 visits to the top of the Glen and only got to see the Buckle once :o(
I don't think this is the A82, it could be the A83 north of the rest and be thankful on the way to Inveraray? Looks just like Scotland on a soft weather day.Lovely.

or heading down into Kintail on the way to Skye.
Hope you had a lookout for traffic behind you! I've had to move sharpish a couple of times when taking this kind of image. How the highlands often are - conveys dreichness really well.
Always a pleasure to view your work Richard,
Geoff.
Beautiful .... and dare I say a brave capture.
Middle of the road with a tripod !!!!
Looks like you had the same weather as Sue_R!
Middle of the road with a tripod?! Just as well there's not much traffic about!

Atmosphere and mood captured beautifully. Really like the mist, and how the grey skies bring out the colour of the vegetation. This image actually reminds me of a spot in Norway - so similar.
Anne
a truly great shot, mountains on either side and the road curving into a bend, superb
