As for the shot, i'm not feeling it either, the backlighting from the sun looks really good but the flare is way too harsh and you can't see the board too well. Too distracting for my liking.

Still too much black at the top, would of been better with more of their feet in.

Don't think the flash is in the right place either, too much light on the left and not enough on the right. Maybe holding it about your head or nearer your camera would of made it a bit more even.

Still it works well in B+W like the others

If you used some fill flash and a better angle on the original you could of really got something great!

A skater against a plain black background dosen't really mean anything, it's good to show what he's jumping over and his surroundings. Espically since you had some great weather by the looks of things, i'd have worked on getting something better on the basis of the original.

Good edit but it dosen't really work on it's own.
