Understated, sober, beautifully composed. The sculpture seems so right, so much a part of the street. This deserves a lot more attention than it's getting.

Looking at your portfolio I see that this scene has given you two awarded pictures already - but I have to say that I regard this as by far the best. Light, austere colour, the subtlety of the composition. This makes me want to visit Wigan Pier. I cannot remember ever typing those words before...
