You missed 'composition, lighting, artistry and genius' Bill, but I'll forgive you By: Robert_Malcolm |
Hoisin Duck Breast with Spicy Stir Fry Yesterday By: Robert_Malcolm |
Rib Beef with Puy Lentils and Rocket Thanks Ali. Since my food stylist moved to Spain I've had to do most of it myself on small jobs. I'm glad she had the patience to teach me (and that I put in the effort to learn a new skill). By: Robert_Malcolm |
I don't shoot wildlife these days, but I know how much work goes into realising images like this. It's superb. By: John_Wannop |
Thanks. Of course you have to be 'of a certain age' to get the reference By: Robert_Malcolm |
Thank you both. These are certainly the trickiest to get, even after years of preparation By: Robert_Malcolm |
Chloe hates having her photograph taken, which makes this a rare one. By: Robert_Malcolm |
Thanks Matt. By: Robert_Malcolm |
Nice of you to say so. Thanks. By: Robert_Malcolm |
Thanks. I don't normally touch wildlife, but when you're at the coast ..... By: Robert_Malcolm |
Nice. I only live 25 mins away and I've never shot it. There's some irony there somewhere. By: MarkBroughton |
Thanks both. By: Robert_Malcolm |
One Good Tern Deserves Another Thanks for commenting. It was very overcast with occasional flickers of sunlight from the west. Waiting paid off. By: Robert_Malcolm |
Thank you. By: Robert_Malcolm |
Thank you. Sometimes it's good to look down By: Robert_Malcolm |
You obviously talk a lot and feel a little hoarse in the morning. Perhaps I should acquire a similar mask - it looks better than I do too. By: cattyal |
She smells old sea-going shells by the seashore? By: ionephotography |
It looks a lot better than Boris's efforts. Great capture for the lights alone. By: JackAllTog |
A lot of people use this passageway as a photographic viewpoint for 30 St Mary Axe, but usually manage to get it in focus. You seem to have erroneously focused on a turquoise 'twist and go'. Anyone viewing this would think you were trying to emphasise the importance of economical transport and the relative unimportance of Swiss Re to the man in the street. I'm sure that wasn't your intention and you'll just have to go back and take it all over again By: Rorymac |
Thanks Isabel. It had been very windy, but I find this type of 'discard' deplorable, as you can probably tell. By: Robert_Malcolm |
Works for me - happy dog, great shot. Gil is none too good in snow because his arthritis claws his claws, as it were (they cramp). By: Rev2 |
Thanks. Unfortunately it looks better than it tastes. The cake part is good, but I need to rebalance the fruit element as it's a little too sour. Such is experimentation By: Robert_Malcolm |
Terrific detail. By: Tom-Melton |
He was 12 when we took him in as a rescue and on his last legs with depression, a heart murmur, fluid on both lungs, kidney disease and a degenerative spinal condition. Our vet gave him 8 weeks tops! It's taken a great deal of work to get him this far, but he's worth every penny and every minute. Oh, and he's no 'gent'. He's like Leslie Phillips crossed with Giacamo Casanova! By: Robert_Malcolm |
Thanks IB. I'm glad you said that because this is what I usually get paid for (although I'm doing my own styling for my book) By: Robert_Malcolm |

I'd forgotten how fantastic the light can be there (sometimes). Thanks for the reminder. By: rhobbie |
Nice composition. We all seem to love those poppies. I haven't had time this year so it's nice to see a few. By: bfgstew |
Thanks both. It's one from a series of shots and I covered over 200 yesterday afternoon, which is very demanding as I was relighting most of them. Some, it must be said, are better than others, but I should have around 50 that are usable. A lighter day today (no pun) with only 10 scheduled, but as they involve cooked meat they're particularly important. The table is one of six that I recently brought in and I think its neutrality works well with the earth tones of the 'shrooms - think? By: Robert_Malcolm |
