A cafe owner who has seen my work said to me, in jest, "We couldn't use your stuff, mate. We do all-day-breakfasts, burgers and pies. None of that posh food that you do."

I quite like a challenge.

Love the play on words and a fine product shot. Haven't seen a breakfast look so good!

Wot no bacon?!?

Some will say that you're Barking up the wrong tree but I think you've avoided the Hackneyed fry-up and produced something very appEaling. Well photographed, too. The image could do with a little sharpening unsharp mask with strength 0.8 and radius 100 works well. Resizing images removes the pixel-level detail that makes them look sharp so you usually need to sharpen a bit afterwards. Your white balance looks a little off, too, with parts of the plate looking very blue. If a white balance correction makes everything else look too orange, try reducing the colour saturation of the cyans by 50-odd percent; you might need to adjust the magentas and blues, too. Since the food isn't blue, the adjustment should only affect the plate. I'd also clone out that little diagonal line in the bottom-right corner.

Right, breakfast time for me! Grin

But DR, I like the little diagonal line in the bottom RH corner. Thanks for the point about the blue - I thought that my monitors needed re-calibrating (must get around to that anyway).

I had to leave out the bacon for two reasons.
1. Very difficult to get circular bacon.
2. I would have lost a fun title Smile

Thanks all, for the appreciation.

I'm trying to work out how you managed to keep the beans in a stack like that!? Love the tower and the angle you taken/presented it at. Good work.
Barbara

PS YUM!

They're actually trained gymnastic beans, although I had to work very quickly (this was the fifth construction).
