A very nice overall effort. You have captured a gentle scene of the past well - a steam train waiting at a rural station, composition and sharpness are good. Several suggestions you might consider. Making more of the single passenger waiting on the seat a touch more darkness/contrast in the area might help. The white post at the right hand edge is a distraction. It may also help to see more or less of the end corner of the coaches, perhaps including the rear tail lamp. As an alternative shot you could move closer to the locomotive and pick up more detail including the decorative timber on the signal box. In summer there is less white steam emitted from the loco but there may be some as the train just sets off. Well done.

V2 has the slightly more natural look with V1 having the drama and impact. Think with just a touch more work V1 could be really special, I would work a little bit on the cab side numbers and left hand side front windscreen as per version 2 but keeping the sky and landsacape as V1

I presume taken off a platform therefore tempted to move back to get more of train beyond the gantry, or from opposite platform to get more of head on view, taking trains under wires is alway very difficult
