When I uploaded other shots of these lovely animals I decided to keep one for later; as usual I forgot about it so here it is.
Taken the same day as the other uploads(in August I think?)
The temperature was 40plus! The wind was blowing sand everywhere!
Taken leaning out of the window of a slow moving 4 by 4. The other name for these animals is Spear Horned Antelope. They were almost extinct in Dubai until the powers to be created this resort that is about 5% of the size of Dubai.
You may or may not be aware that Dubai city is currently the largest building site in the world; I was told that the sand is too fine in Dubai so they have to import sand for building work!
The desert was a good test for the dust seals on my Pentax and I have to say that they work really well.

Nice shot of this lovely animal - looks a bit warm and dusty out there - still better there than here in the gloom and cold - Have a good Christmas and New Year

Superb shot Ken. Good detail on the animal and it stands out so well against the neutral background and the blurred sand.

Very simple and minimalist. Clever how you've got a sharp animal and soft focus sand. Very restricted range of colours adds to the impact of the pic.
