Every message and plaque carries a glimpse of a family's private tragedy. Grief and loss are not confined to one generation, they cast a shadow over decades to come. It worries me that our leaders today are of a generation that hasn't seen the effects of war at close quarters, on their own turf. It's so much easier for them to wage it on others far away.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Nice tribute Moira, so many visit at this special time, and leave their own particularly special message for their family loved ones across the years. I'm sure the pain is very fresh in many hearts as remembrance sunday approaches.

To lose two sons, so close together .... how did these mothers - and fathers, brothers, sisters - ever get over it?

I agree with your sentiments Moira.
It is far too easy for these leaders to fight a war at their own desks.
Did you see that so called future American presendential candidate on the news ?
He had three points to make, but he forgot what the third one was !!
I fear for the future !!
Mick.

I dont think young men should go off to war they dont have the full experience but war whichever way you look at it is wrong but having said that - sadly there will always be conflict somewhere - good tribute to all the men and women that lost their lives for our country
