Hey, people...thank you for the response to my drippy drop piccy.
Here are a couple of shots I took on Friday of a dragonfly just sittin' and chillin'...
...kinda like what I'm doing right now
superb shots, fab detail....
Fantastic shot! I really like the light through the wings and the pov you chose.
A little more space above the wings would have been better imo. But the shot is so dramatic, it works overall very well!
wow, love V2, brill...
Love the detail in the wings and the Impressionist background.
wow wow on both versions.... beyond stunning shots
A great photograph.
Warm wishes, Iain.
Fantastic images, Andrew, V.1 is outstanding. Carol
Oh yes. Super light and detail. I love the wings!
The light on the wings is beautiful, and V2 works really well in mono.
V2 is so unusual, don't think I've ever seen one of these in mono - it adds to the air of cool, effortless poise. Like you again I guess...
Wow - beautiful delicate image - Jude.
Two wonderful shots, both so sharp and detailed. I like both versions equally

Wow a superb image with superb lighting and detail great composition V1 for me
Superb pin sharp image.
Both wonderful in their own ways. Takes some thinking to go for mono for a dragonfly, but you proved it can work perfectly. V1 is, however, just a stunner. Those wings!
Both wonderful in their own way. Not normally a fan of mono but the light in V2 is just perfect.
Both are excellent macro's.
Absolutely amazing Andrew - how do you catch a moment like this? Apologies for my lack of recent comments - life has caught up with me!
Both images are perfection. I am going through a mono phase just now so i have a preference for the 2nd one it's just got that edge for me.
Stunning pair of macro's. Beautiful fine detail and superbly sharp. Lovely colour and composition.
Superb shot Andrew - great light and excellent detail in those wings.
Colour for me.
WOW ChiliPeep!!!!!! What a pose you caught. WOW!!! Love V1 and love V2.......sheesh ~ great timing my man!!!
Stunning detail to those gorgeous wings in V1...what a beautiful capture.
Would have loved to see V2 in colour, a great angle.
A magnificent macro shot Andrew, the wing detail is wonderful. V2 ain't bad either but I agree with Hilary i'd love to see it in colour
Wow Andrew! these are fantastic close-ups, the detail is superb!
Rare to catch them that still. This is like a Tiffany piece. Gorgeous.
Whoooaaa...now I was quite happy with these 2 dragonfly pics but I did not expect THIS kinda response. Awe. Some.
Thank you so much, all! Sheesh...what lovely comments too.
Mike (oldgreyheron), never any apologies necessary...just good to see you, man
***** For those who expressed a wish to see the colour version of V2, I'm now putting it up as V3. Hope I haven't overprocessed it.
Iím also putting up the untouched straight-from-cam image as V4. It's kinda lame in terms of colour and light - which is why I decided to present it as mono in the first place.
WOW! Orange wings-- like them in mono, too1
Excellent detail and you've done well with the processing. Good job!
Excellent couple of macro shots Andrew; the details are superb and love what you've done with the contrast adding the magical light
V1 is truly OUTSTANDING! Andrew (sorry, just had to SHOUT at you) I am just staggered by how good this is....words fail me (and believe me that is very unusual!)
Thanks so much for your wonderful User Award, Robin! And that these were wordrobbing and staggerinducing...wow...that's better than the award itself
Amazing detail, lovely captures.
3 is a ripper too Andrew and well worth uploading again in its own right
V1 brill! V2 brill! V3 & 4 also v good
great shots Andrew
Wow, fantastic images. I'd love to get something like this.
