First off, thanks so much again to CarolG for her UA on my kamikaze fly ![]()
And thanks for the lovely comments, people.

Now then…here’s another case of the unexpected. Not to do with timing this time, but rather a face in the crowd. Or half a face.
9.53am on Sunday. I looked out the living room window and loved the look of the heliconia leaves catching the morning sun. I grabbed the cam for one of those “just for me” shots since I don’t reckon a shot like this would hold much interest for anyone else. Stuck the cam through the window grille and *click*.
On the LCD, I saw the half face – so clear and distinct (actually a dried leaf, I discovered). Like half of an Ultraman type mask. And that’s when I decided that the pic was EPZworthy…lol.
Now I’d initially meant to crop in close and then mirror and paste to complete the face. In the end I went with straightening and mirroring the whole image…and I’m glad I did. ‘Cos then I noticed the legs of the masked man as he leaps into the air and does a split with his skinny arms pointing down.
He also seems to be wearing puffy sleeves but I don’t know what that’s about. And he’s wearing a chain whose pointy pendant seems to be aligned with his crotch so he might wanna be careful with that.
I shall name him Heliconia Man, and he shall marshall the garden with fair leaves but a firm trunk.
A.
PS…V2 is the original image.

Andrew, this is absolutely superb! A masterpiece of digital art. Well spotted in the first instance and very well worked to create this wonderful image. I also love the presentation - well done all round and worth my UA this week! Have a great weekend!
Carol
A marvellous piece of manipulation Andrew, you have such a vivid imagination and your creativity knows no bounds. This character of yours looks like a mighty Morphin Power Ranger
