V2 is the original shot and rather than chuck it I thought I'd have a fiddledeedee with it. Probably a bit over-the-top, huh? ![]()

Very neatly done, Andrew. Over the top maybe but it looks good to me.

No, I don't think its too ott - plumbago blooms have a lot of texture and veining that really isn't especially visible in a standard shot, so I think this has brought that out beautifully.
This is one case where even a mono conversion would look great - but you know me and mono ![]()

I agree with Anne, you have brought out detail that isn't there in the original, nice work Andrew.
Very nice, particularly the way V1 brings out the surface textures.
Moira
V1 is a beautifully presented floral image, the black background works perfectly

I love the fiddlededee version, but I am an unrepentant tinkerer!
Very well fiddled, very graphic but the suble texture comes out so nicely , I just love it.
Is it a frangipani?
V2 shows a lovely flower and it seems almost a shame to distort it, but if it has to be done, then you've done a fine job of it Andrew, making an interesting pic change, while not abusing it! My that looks awfully pedantic, I'll leave it in anyhow![]()
