Thanks so much for the response to yesterday’s upload, people. And Jennnn, I’m glad you liked the tribute and I totally loved reading your comment Smile

Now I like Dave’s (WhiteRose1) suggestion for yesterday’s fern shot – about mirroring V2 so that it leads from the left. I’m nominating the comment for constructive critique and hopefully that gets picked up.

-----

Ok…a quick break from the flower show…’cos I just have to share with you all an encounter I had yesterday. I met this wasp. To me, a biggish wasp…about 2 inches from front to back. Both pics aren’t sharp too deep and unfortunately not sharp on the head. But this fella kept trotting about and going from plant to plant. I don’t think he liked me flashing him. Fair enough. Most people don’t like it either. Anywho, these two are the 2 most decent shots I got.

-----

I’ll catch up on your pictures soon. Had an early start to a long day today. Up at 6.30am, after a couple of hours of sleep, to take my mum for a scope. It’s now half past midnight over here and my eyelids are going on strike.

Night night, people. Sleep tight, don’t let the bedbugs bite. Or this wasp Smile

A.

Hope you managed a good night's rest, Andrew? Rather like these images though very glad I didn't have to face a disgruntled Wasp, of this size especially! Great colours and some excellent details with V2 probably my favourite.

Ann

2"!!! you don't even need a macro lens for that size!! I wouldn't be too happy with that thing buzzing around whilst I was taking photos. Much better you keep it in sight in the viewfinder. Excellent images, Andrew.

Two fantastic close up captures Andrew, he does look rather menacing in v2. That big girls blouse my uncle Adie epzer "Tomcat" would run away screaming if he encountered him!Wink
