Some old rail cart tracks on Dungeness beach, I think these were probably used by the fishermen to unload there catch and take it up the beach in a cart...just a guess

That was the whole idea of the photo, not every image has to be clean.

I know those rails well, I've tried similar compositions (the shingle is hard on the knees, isn't it...), with focus on the foreground, and again on the background. This is better than I've managed for the latter, but I've usually tried pointing the camera towards the sea rather than inland. Idea duly noted!
This works for me, but I can see that a lot of people would see it through Keith's eyes. I think it might work better with a square crop, take off the bottom and leave the oof sea kale as the base of the image, cradling the top of the image. Moira
