Interesting shadow effects. It may look better converted to B&W, and then increase the contrast to enhance the shadows.

I like the patterns and shadows. I would be tempted to try cropping down from the top to just below the bright white spot. The black background does not contribute much to the image, and removing it would concentrate the viewer's attention more on the items of interest.

This appears to be a beautiful part of NC. I wonder if the picture has suffered a quality loss through downsizing. I had that problem with some pictures when I started on epz. Now I use a free program called 'Easy Thumbnails' which does the job nicely with most photos.

A good shot of the dancers. I like your choice of tones. I find the tattoo on her shoulder is distracting, and I wonder if you could clone it out, also the viewer's attention would concentrate on the dancers more if somehow there was less clutter in the background.

A very pleasant scene, nicely framed by the trees. I feel it could be even better with a slight clockwise rotation to level the shoreline, and a little bit of sharpening. If you don't have a photo editing program, there are some free ones you can download from the internet. For example, IrfanView, it's very basic but will do the changes I suggested. Picasa is another free one, and has greater versatility.

A nice scene, I like the way the steps lead the viewers eyes into the distance, but I would prefer to see this one a bit sharper too. Have you checked your lens to see if it is clean?

PS, just another thought - if this was taken in low light, camera movement could cause it to lack a bit of sharpness.

I like the vibrant colours of the candy sticks, but there is something about the pink stand which distracts me. I am not sure, but it may look better if you could clone out the empty holes. Those shorter sticks on the lower left could be given the same treatment.

This would be better if it had been a bit bigger - up to the 600 pixel limit. If you don't know how to do that, have a look in the forums, or ask me. I would be tempted to crop the sides off to concentrate the viewer's attention more on the Halloween decorations, and child's costume.
