Sturt's Desert Pea, this beautiful and unusual flower is the floral emblem of our state (South Australia). It generally grows in hot, arid, sandy areas of Australia, and is not easy to grow in the average garden. However, this one thrived in my sister's garden in Adelaide. Brick wall in the background.

Extraordinary shot, the flower is wild and anarchic, the leaves so regular and neat - the background is almost a repeats pattern shot. Like this a lot.
