More of the wild dog pack from the Luangwa Valley. V1 and V2 show three of the pups playing together, and then in V3 all the youngsters decided to set on the poor little runt again, and chase him down into a ditch (V4). While we were watching this going on, a warthog came trotting over the horizon, and in V5 the pup on the right suddenly notices him, and the whole group of pups set off in mad pursuit, while the older members of the pack stayed put. It was interesting to see the way the group fanned out, ready for any change of direction of their quarry...........it didn't do them any good though - the hog escaped!

Thank you for the votes and comment on "Is it him?" and special thanks to NaturesHaven for the UA.

A fascinating series Roger. I really like African wild dogs, they show interesting behaviour. The series shows just how easily diverted pups can be, and no doubt the runt was pleased when the warthog turned up.

Wildlife photography dosen't come much better than this. A sheer delight to view. Image number one and two being captured quite superbly. "Real canine chaos"
