Having treated you all to tea at Castle Drogo we move to Lanhydrock House for some light entertainment on the Steinway piano.Wink

A bit of a battle to get because of the blinds on the windows restricting light and no flash allowed.

This was part of my winter challenge - to capture indoor shots to include windows without getting blown out detail.

Thank you for all recent comments and votes (Hermanus really made us laugh with his comment on Gracious Living2Grin)

Best wishes to you all
Carole

The low light levels have been overcome by you, capturing an image which I'm sure accurately represents the ambience of the room so well.

Great practise taking indoor shots - not at all easy.
I love libraries in old houses and imagine people reading lots in days when there was no TV.

One of the best 'available light' shots that I have seen for a long time Carole. Not only a very well composed image but superbly exposed. It's terrific!!!

Very well done low light picture you have captured this so well, I played the piano as a čhild and seeing a piano is a great temptation to tinkle on the keys

Not only a beautifully composed and captured image of what look like the sort of room I dream of, they also have "my" piano stool. Must go and check it's still here! Tongue

That's some winter challenge with the windows! You've done well here and lovely light on the Steinway. It was pretty amazing, the opulence in the last two uploads. I do NOT envy the housekeeping involved, though!!
