One of our rhododendrons which is visible from any part of the garden, a deep rich orange, and the leaves have a rich russet tone. I have desaturated the background flowers in PS in order to show off the lovely colour and form of the foreground flowers, otherwise the picture was too overwhelmingly orange.

Another wet and windy day here in CornwallSad

Regards
Carole

That's a great piece of selective colouring, Carole. I never seem to get my selections to look like this - there's always some damned halo or fringing or something. I should really study the manual ......

Regards.

I did not like it hot until I reached 60 Carole.
On these cold winter nights I go to bed at night with my thermal jim jams on and wooly bedsocks.
If it turns out a mild night however,I too can wake up in an overwhelming orange colour !!
Good shot.
Mick.

Chance would be a fine thing Carole, little chance of that at the moment as regards the weather in the wild west!Sad The vibrant eyecatching colour brightens up a dull damp evening
