Tulip by flash at midnight in the garden using widest aperture and telephoto focal length to isolate it form others. (I will be out of town all day today but will catch up over the weekend).

My thanks to all who commented on Don't Think He Noticed.

Ronnie.

You have controlled the lighting so well Ronnie, you have isolated the main bloom perfectly but not at the expense of those in the background that complement it perfectly and the water droplets add the final touch, out in the garden at midnight is dedication and deserves to be rewarded with images as good as this.

Trying to imagine the antics at midnightWink A lovely image, with the detail of the fine texture of the tulip as well as those crisp little droplets and a superb dof. The colour is just right and you can see the 'bloom' on the petals too. Carole

This is very beautiful--the water drops sharply in focus against the well focused tulip work well with the suggestion of many more in the bg-- a lovely garden!

Out in the garden with the flash at midnight...........

Well what a beautiful result. Excellent colour and just the right amount of blur in the background. The sharp detail on the Tulip together with the water droplets is superb. The vignette finishes it off nicely.

Tulips always look at their best when they are closed and after a shower of rain, this is a wonderful image of spring Ronnie. I've been photographing many of mine with my macro lens particularly after rain showers and I will upload some more images on here soon when i've had time to sort out the best ones
