With a trip to the Lake District imminent it's time for a landscape. They don't do well on the salon circuit these days, shift in fashion. Will always be one of my favorites are landscapes.

That's a very large blind spot on the salon circuit I would suggest Ron, work with light like this is never easy and should always be recognised, vogues come and go I suppose.

Salon's wil go out of fashion too.

One of my favourite hills south of the border - scampered up Sharp Edge last summer - would make an excellent winter foray with the camera methinks. Lovely mountain landscape,

Ian.

Wonderful mountain view, I believe there's some new snow on the tops up there today.

The composition is very good (though the wall(?) along the bottom edge ought to be cropped out, I think) and the black and white conversion is excellent, with good contrast and nice detail in the sky. But the whole of the near slope appears to be out of focus. Sad
