the composition makes me think this is the British version of a torii.

What happened? the distortion is only on the left (here I need a very puzzled icon)
Strong shapes, Ron, and some lovely warm light on those pier supports to contrast with the blue tones.

So very sad. The old pier is stranded out there like an abandoned ship.

Love the composition, Ron. Very reminiscent of ruined Greek sites - a Greek temple and an isolated clutch of pillars. I like the blue, too, and the hint of pink in the f/g; suspect it would make a fine mono nonetheless.
