These are Painted Wolves,( cape hunting, wild, hunting Dogs) taken in the last vestiges of light. Using Fuji Velvia I was trying for movement. This i achieved with only a small amount of images. Very Art Wolfe, he was at this location in Botswana a few weeks before me.

Great shot and gets better the larger it is viewed. The thumbnail does it no justice at all. Wonderful action.

You've succeeded in capturing the movement and the fire-like lighting adds to the image.

I sympathise with dave thelens' comments, but fear that you would've needed a sunset and/or a naked lady in shot to get more comments and clicks Smile

Really well done,
Vince

Doesn't work so well as a thumbnail but is a superb shot - well taken.
Having tried to get decent shots of painted hunting dogs at the zoo, I'm very jealous that you've been able to get such a natural shot and in such beautiful light!

What an amazing thing to see and love the way you have captured it Ron.

I had to look at it for a while to see what was going on due to the sense of motion. One of the best P/Fs I have seen on ezine!

This attracted me in the thumbnails - thought I could comment on a 'Busy composition' BUT NO! It's a GREAT snap, the highlights move across the composition in a wonderful way. Regards.... Peter.

Unbelievalve that this hasn't attracted more votes - this belongs with HC and above... Superb vision and technique, I'm sure there was more than one frame involved, but no less fantastic and worth the effort!

Hi James,
This was indeed just one frame, Fuji Velvia and low light did the rest. I do have others that I may scan in the future, thanks for the comment. Ron.

An excellent shot caught the movement just right, the one in the middle has just the right amount of light to make him the leader of the pack, very well done love it, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
