On my way to capture the east light streaming through the windows in Grand Central Station spotted this scene. The east light penetrating this cab stand. With the Chrysler building as a back drop, could not resist.
Nice lighting. I have an office just a block from there.
Beautiful light and tones a wonderful capture.
great shot love the light giving a glow to the taxi stand
Very evocative image. Looks like something from the 30's. Love the style and the starkness. Very punchy stuff.
I love NYC. Excellent shot. Works well in B & W.
Works very well in B&W
wasnt this a winner in one of the photography mags?
fantastic photography well done
A great gritty shot, works so well in black and white.
this is a superb photo. love how you played with the light here.
Cleverly observed and skillfully captured ...
I like this, has an air of noir about it.
Thanks for the comments on my work; thought I'd have a look at your portfolio - good stuff overall, but this one just leaps out at me! It has the 'guts' I like to see in this type of pic - great work!
Love your style
really great picture, love the composition and contrast. tim
Gran armonia de lineas, sombras y luces muy buena foto.
And that's why we miss Agfa...
Thanks for all the comments, good to read your opinions about my work. Ron.
I like the lines and the way the light is coming through the taxi stand. I'd have been tempted to rotate it a tad to put the verticals straight though.
what a great poster Ron?
Love the way you have made use of the light here.
Great use of light and shadow.
Great mono,'fine arty' type shot [whatever that means!!].Like it a lot.
This not a tit for tat vote Ron ,Its Just that as I am New there is so much catching up I have to do, So when I get an incoming vote it is a reminder, All your images are grade A1 as the votes show , So here is one more if I could add more than one vote then I would as they are such fine images
Fantastic exposure Ron.
Just shows what you can do with real 'FILLUM' -- RIP Agfa Scala !
Very interesting study in B&W. Very effective use of the available light.
Great atmosphere, nicely caught.
One of the shots I would have taken myself! Simply perfect for me
Just been through your portfolio, and much of it is photography at it's best...including this .
Yes Gareth mate I like it to, nice to see such a very-ed portfolio with a good range of subjects, like it regards Leon.
Love it... I like the extremes of dark and light..
Hope you and your family are well.
I hope to stick around for awhile
Love this capture Ron.
Superbly observed and taken.
Brilliant work and love the perspective in the silhouettes.
Superb mono image this Ron!
Love this. The mirroring between the Chrysler (my fav building in NYC) and the little phone booth is what strikes me most! Bravo!
Captures the atmosphere of New York
