The mill is now a private residence - it's a lovely walk from my mother-in-law's place around the sea front to Langstone near Hayling Island. Added bonus is the much-photographed pub, the Royal Oak, which is just a few yards from the mill - the real ale is pretty good as well.

Like the way the white paint stands out on the mill and also how the nice light in the sky appears to reflect in the water.

Lovely composition
Like the sky very much
Feel the foreground could possibly benefit from a little more light - just a personal view though.

Terrific shot. I also feel a touch more light to the left foreground would improve it still further.

Hi Rose. This is a decent capture however, I have to agree with Helen. You could provide more detail in the shadows by using Natual Density Graduates (NDG). These would also give you more control of the sky (bright areas). A nice varied portfolio.

Hi Paul

Thanks for that and for your kind comment.

That's really helpful - I'm just dipping my toes in the water and have loads to learn.
Cheers

Very good composition. It has already been mentioned about the foreground. You could try a Highlight and Shadows adjustment in PS to lighten that area.

I love this picture rose, especially the way the water reflects the sunset in the right hand corner. Glad to come across your portfolio. John.
