I'm grateful to my friend whose work I admire and who kindly suggested several alternative approaches to one of my earlier uploads here ... this is one of them!
Any feedback (+/-) welcomed!
Thank you for viewing.

HI Susie
I like it, the crop works well and I like the B&W treatment you have given it.It could be a little sharper, but its not bad considering thats quite a hefty crop from the orginal. Looking at the orginal I think I would have used the 'other side' of his face, its better looking!

Good use of space Susie - funny how the bits without anything in them (inc the border) can be as important as the subject isn't it?
It's such a great picture that, as I was eating my lunch with one hand I couldn't resist doing an alternative take on it with the other. Hope you don't mind a couple of mods made whilst eating a rice cake!
Good stuff Susie.

really superb Susie. Liked the original, but this lifts it a level higher. And the presentation is perfect for this. You should show it to the guy... sure he'll love it
Really works well, the presentation is spot-on.
Ron.
Thank you Iain, Michael, Cathy, Si, Vinny, Angela, Tess and Ron for taking the time to view and comment ... it's much appreciated!
lol Wendy - not sure, but I'd certainly happily photograph him again!
Hi Martin - appreciate your considered feedback, as always. Actually elected not to apply any sharpening to this at all, so a sharper result is certainly an option.
Richard - thank you so much for taking the time and effort to prepare the mods! I love the way there's so many potential images within any single capture. Your thoughtful impressions are also welcomed, as always ...
Koen - thank you for your valued comments, I'm grateful for you dropping by!

great image, like the toning very much. click
quickly visited the modifications. I think the sepia colour is the best. Its composition is interesting and the image is razor sharp.
Hi Martin - thank you so much for going to the trouble to prepare a mod! Your version is close to one of the other crops suggested by my friend, and I agree that it's probably his 'best side' ... thank you once again!
Cheers also Robert, James and Sam ... very grateful for your impressions!
