Nice capture and presentation, the only thing I would try different is to remove the top of the feather that is ovelapping the beak.

Great shot! I was initially a little confused, looking at the smaller version of the image, by the second bird in the background. Much clearer in the large image, probably just me! Wondered if it would enhance the image to remove the second bird? I know it changes it from a wildlife photo to wildlife art. I've put my money where my mouth is and uploaded a modded version.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a superb shot as is and well deserved of a RC.

Cheers,
Ben

Thank you so much for each taking the time to look and comment - I'm genuinely grateful ...

Jeff & Bruckner - I agree about the leading feather; I'm not very confident when it comes to PS editing but probably should've at least had a go at cloning it out - will have a try! Thank you for your valued feedback ...

Ben - it's kind of you to take the time to prepare a mod! I really like your version with the foreground pelican isolated. Again, my PS skills are a tad limited, but with practice I should be able to achieve this kind of result - thank you once again for your helpful advice!

lol Kin I'm practically a little old lady now! ;o) But they say life begins at 40! Thank you for dropping by ...

This is excellent as so many others in your portfolio Rosie. Great standard throughout!

Thank you for the genorous comments on my work. I am honoured. The one thing that prohibits from joining as an e-member is the cost. Thats the one drawback of living in South Africa. Our currency is currently weaker than the Pound by a factor of more than eleven. Membershop would cost me in the region of SA-R335.00. (I am a paid member of Usefilm.com where a larger variety of my work is currently uploaded. you can register for free, search for Joggie and view my photos at a 850x850 resolution). Kind regards.

The light looks particularly attractive and the sharpness and exposue look excellent.
Nicely presented too.
