Our latest pet. Heīs one leg short of a full set, but why should that stop him modelling?
Taken with flash on remote cord at f32.
Heīs feeding well, and has some cotton wool soaked in water if he wants a drink. We found him on our porch a couple of days ago, and yesterday we found a younger (brown) one in the kitchen - it must be grasshopper week round here. Theyīre both sharing the same box now, and havenīt eaten each other yet.

I did try to find out the scientific name yesterday, but didnīt get very far.

We live in Spain, where he would be a "saltamontes" (mountain-jumper). I think his mountain-jumping days are behind him, unless he can grow that missing leg back.
