You really had to be there for the title, but imagine Ronnie Barker and the 'Four Candles' sketch
Mr Scholey and I had spotted 2 sea arches on a map at one of the beaches round the coast from the outdoor centre, but we were having a few problems pinpointing them after we'd driven down what we thought was the nearest road. I thought I'd phone Lee (WelshKiwi or whatever her identity crisis has her at these days
) as the local person in the know, except as it turned out she didn't. I think all of Pete's Eats in Llanberis got to share her side of the conversation, especially her incredulity about what we were searching for...
Anywho, having found them, alas the weather wasn't fantastic and everything was a bit bland in the sky, but what can you do? We did learn that climbing back up cliffs with sore toes is painful though ![]()

I was sitting next to Lee during the conversation. She was saying "Do you mean arches or archers?" But with her accent both words sounded the same. Almost surreal. Anyway, you had a foot in both camps as you've said elsewhere. You must admit ours was drier, warmer & much more enjoyable?

Yes, hearing the discussion in Pete's was certainly interesting, not to mention the fact that some of us we certainly cracking up. Alan (Wooly) nearly choked on a chip!
Oh and it's a fine shot too -)
